Giving Back

Giving Back To The Pet Community

Cat care and animal wellness are my passion. Coming from a career in pet sitting and having a background in Animal Care, I’m drawn to organizations and causes that have ‘Animal Care’ as their fundamental purpose.

The following are some of the specific causes we’ve worked with and/or supported:

  • The Kingston Animal Shelter
Located in Kingston Massachusetts, this local town shelter provides amazing support to the pets in the community. They have a clean and welcoming shelter for dogs and cats, a commitment to provide the best opportunities for the pets in their care, an active animal care fund and an affordable yearly rabies clinic to residents and non-residents. How I’m Involved: I personally volunteer writing press releases, producing videos and helping with outreach as needed on a yearly basis. View their adoptable pets
  • Papa’s Pet Project
Located in Manomet Massachusetts, this organization rescues and saves cats and kittens by partnering with the Plymouth Animal Shelter, providing foster homes, veterinary care and just recently they opened a pet adoption center and non-profit pet supply store which supports the adoption center. This organization goes above and beyond to help cats and kittens in need and I’ve been honored to help when I can. How I’m Involved: Papa’s Pet Project has been the feature of my freelance work in pet health segments, and I’ve produced PSA’s for their benefit events, and most recently I created their website pro-bono. They create task forces that focus on working with state agencies, animal control and many other groups to address issues for animals. Some of their initiatives are “I’m Animal Friendly”, Animatch, Shelter Statistic Task force, and many more. Every spring they hold The Whole Cat Workshop. How I’m Involved: I’m a yearly member. They were located in Buzzards Bay Massachusetts. I have to find out where they are located now. How I’m Involved: I donate PAWPoints to them!
  • MSPCA-Angel Animal Medical Center-Boston
They are a national and international leader in animal protection and veterinary medicine, providing direct hands-on care for thousands of animals each year. Founded in 1868, they are the second-oldest humane society in the United States. The full name of our organization is the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals – Angell Animal Medical Center, or MSPCA–Angell. Their mission is to protect animals, relieve their suffering, advance their health and welfare, prevent cruelty, and work for a just and compassionate society. How I’m Involved: My husband and I were privileged produce a video PSA for them. I needed pre-produced footage for my show and we worked with them to produced the spa – they provided the talent and the script and we filmed and produced the psa at no charge.
  • Best Friends Animal Society
