Strut For Strays Benefits MRFRS 2015

special thanks to the Rescue Business who gave us these cool hats !

Last year Dustin and I had a blast at the Strut for strays event. This year the event is scheduled for May 22!

Sunday may have brought cloudy and rainy weather but it was a bright sunshiny day for the fundraisers at Strut For Strays! By using technology walkers and runners could raise money ahead of time by raising sponsorships for their participation- and it paid off-MRFRS knew they had already raised $35,000 before 9am, making their 20th anniversary walk a huge success.

I interviewed Stacey Lebaron, past president who now lives in VT but spends most of her time running virtual trainings across the country from her home computer. She was a wealth of knowledge and brought great insight to making strides for strays and working with the community.

I also interviewed Lisa Finkel on the history and importance of the walk. And I interviewed the Margaret Kidzma, founder of the Rescue Business. That episode aired in episode 5. The next episode will have the strut for strays segment-

The interviews with the spay mobile will be used in short film about community cats.
